The organizers of the SoNoRo International Chamber Music Festival 2010 are inviting the Romanian musicians, with ages between 13 and 28, to the selections for SoNoRo – Interferences 2010.
The SoNoRo – Interferences auditions will take place in February , in Bucharest and Cluj according to the following program.
SoNoRo-Interferences, the educational program within the SoNoRo International Chamber Music Festival is organizing three one-week workshops this year: in April atPortul Cultural Cetate, and in July at Palazzo Ricci, Montepulciano/Italy. In the spirit of the European tradition for the chamber music, the chosen locations offer the tranquility and suitable atmosphere for the creative work.
The young Romanian musicians that have passed the selection will have the opportunity to study, next to world-renowned artists and professors from various European Conservatories, chamber music, the most intimate form of musical communication. At the end of every working session, the young musicians will interpret the music pieces they studied during the workshop, along with their professors, in specially organized concerts. The final concerts will take place in Craiova, Iaşi and Rome.
Following the motto ”we need true musicians, not only good players ”, The SoNoRo – Interferences wants to expand the universe of the selected young musicians and to stimulate their interest for other cultural domains. Thus, the three SoNoRo - Interferences workshops will benefit from the presence of some artists in residence.
The best ensembles formed as a result of the workshop will have the opportunity to concert within the Sonoro International Chamber Music Festival in November 2010.
SoNoRo – Interferences is the first initiative of this kind in Romania which wishes to contribute at the rise of the young Romanian musicians’ professional level and at the enlargement of their cultural horizon in an European context. SoNoRo – Interferences offers the young musicians not only the possibility of studying chamber music alongside European artists and professors, but also the opportunity of obtaining some long-term contacts.
The SoNoRo – Interferences Grants
The young musicians accepted at the SoNoRo – Interferences workshop will receive grants that will cover all the expenses. The 20 scholars will be selected after the audition in February, on the basis of their artistic achievements.
